I purchased this last month, receiving it 5 days before my wife and I took a motorcycle trip from Colorado, to Key West, to Tennessee, and back to Colorado (4966 miles). I had in mind previously to use a Saddlemen roll bag I have to strap onto the tour pack rack of my bike, but it only had just enough room for our rain gear and the bike cover, with a couple of side pockets for very small items. I realized we needed more carrying capacity for stuff we’d buy along the way, and for our jackets when we left the cold of Colorado and traveled through the heat and humidity of the south.It was just what we needed. It was easy to get into (and we did often enough) and was able to carry everything we needed it to, and more, if needed. We did go through several stretches of riding in the rain, and it kept everything inside of it completely dry. The air valve on the side made it easy to compress the air out to compact it down and didn’t leak. A couple Rok Straps kept it nice and secure to the rack.The inside of the tour pack was already filled with a custom fitted clothing bag that was packed to capacity with clothing and other items we brought for the trip, so there wasn’t any room to add anything extra there. This duffel allowed us to carry much more, as we bought T-shirts and other souvenirs along the way.So glad I bought this bag. The downside is that I may never use my Saddlemen roll bag again. The only other downside is that we had to monitor how much weight it had, as the heavier it got, the more top-heavy it made the bike. The last (roughly) thousand miles, though, it didn’t matter, because we were taking gear out of it to wear, as we were heading back into cooler areas and areas with rainy weather.
